Vigna di Lino – Rødvin

Vi anbefaler denne sublime rødvin. Det er en meget kompakt og kraftig vin, meget aromatisk med dybe noter af rød frugt.

The Vigna di Lino bottling comes from the lower portion of the South facing vineyard of the same name; from the Delle Grazie MGA directly behind the family farmhouse. The lower portion of the Vigna di Lino vineyard has more clay whereas the top of the slope is sandier. The clay soil lends a remarkably different character to the wine than the Riserva from the top of the slope. Of the two, we find that Vigna di Lino tends to be the more compact and powerful wine. Even so, the color remains fairly light and translucent, true to the thin skinned nature of Nebbiolo. The wine is highly aromatic with a deep red fruit, earth and chinato spice. Clarity, presence, and texture are all more pronounced in this wine. Vigna di Lino is a deeply pretty, perfumed wine when it hits its stride and is a classic example of Nebbiolo from one of Roero’s finest plots. A good decant is usually recommended.
